OUT with the OLD and IN with the NEW - HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Where do I begin? by wishing you all a Happy New Year!
After many months of working on our basement after the flood back in June we are finally beginning to see the light at the end of the flood... We have a new staircase installed

A new Fireplace (I feel like I am in one of the Catherine Cookson novels)

And lots of painting to do before we can get the carpets fitted, luckily after about 8 weeks we learnt the Insurance company were going to cover our loss thank goodness. Mum and Dad are still waiting for their house to be finished off as well, they should be home by the end of February we hope.
A little sewing has happened, I started a small Penny Rug
My friend Laura (Lou's news) sent me a lovely sewing case for Christmas, she did a great job sewing it, beautiful!

Thats it for now as blogger won't let me edit this post from the PC, arghh anyone else having problems?
